If his Manager did do his job properly, he deserves to be sued. That's like me working a retail managment job, fudging the books and making it look like the business is doing really well. So the owner decided to treat himself and his family to a vacation in Europe, and when he gets back finds that there is NO MONEY LEFT and we're WAY in the RED! So I say "I didn't lie say we had all this money. If he didn't spend it on his Vacation, we'd still have it. But he spent it, so that's why it's all missing." Except that the money wasn't really there to begin with. He thought he was using profits to go on vacation, but in fact he was getting into debt without knowing it, because there were no profits! Not an exact analogy, but still, if I tell you you're financially good, and it's my job to keep track of this, and you're NOT financially good...my fault. I didn't do my job right.
